WEATHERING WITH ME is a project initiated in September 2020 by artist Juliane Tübke. The transdisciplinary project takes the intimate experience of weather phenomena in the port city of Kochi (Kerala, India) as a starting point to think about the intricate involvement of humans in meteorological and hydrological processes.

The idea for this site-specific project evolved during Tübke’s stay at the bangaloREsidency at Pepper House in Fort Kochi, an artist residency program initiated by the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Bangalore and carried out in collaboration with Pepper House Residency, which is part of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale.

This website shares an initial collection of interviews conducted by Juliane Tübke and Jith Joseph in Kochi over the last half year span. The project is accompanied by the artist’s ongoing watercolour series ‘Cochin Tides’, which gives space to the dynamic momentum of water – this ‘agent’ that played such a prominent role in the conversations Tübke had with people from Kochi.
